new at Target

Who here is a Target fan?  I'm all over Target like white on rice because many of their items are affordable and cute.  Some things they go over board (can anyone say Neiman Marcus?) with their pricing, so I usually skip over those things or keep my fingers crossed they will go on clearance.  Over the weekend I had to pick up a few things at Target, and they had out some new items that I just had to snap a photo of for you.

*Photos taken with my phone, and I tried to include the price/tag with the item.
Here are two fun accent tables.  Wouldn't it be even more fun to cut out a wood top for the white one for a nice contrast?   Don't like white?  Spray paint it!  You could possibly turn this over, insert a clear plastic pot, add dirt (I would try to fill it all the way) and a plant.  Place it by your entry door and call it good!

I believe this yellow one holds storage.  Always a bonus in my house.

They had a few home decor items with inlays.  This small table is made by Threshold.   The color of this table is really pretty.  I would pair it with navy, black, or white and with silver accents.  (Target has this green color paired with coral, which looks nice too.)

a few January purchases

It's only January 4th, and I have already spent money.  Matt tells me I have a problem.   I *might* agree with him but that would mean he is right.  ;)  To make things a little better . . . for myself, I've included a few things that I purchased after Christmas during the good sales.

I mentioned the other day about a few things that I did around the home, which I'll share below.  We added our can lights in the living room, centered the kitchen light, added a design to the side of my kitchen island using shelf liner (!), and hung two plants above the kitchen sink.

My biggest splurge was this used tripod by Bogen.  It's a beast at 16 pounds, but I don't think it's going to go anywhere, even if my son plows into it.   I haven't used it yet, but I am excited too!

Here is a small peek at the rug I purchased from Urban Outfitters.  My review of it still is the same as this one, but overall, I really like it.  This 8 x 10 rug was only $67 after taxes, so I just couldn't pass it up!  The teal color is really pretty too.  I'm planning to use this rug in my bedroom.

I'm waiting on Matt to plug up that hole, but it SO nice to no longer have an off centered light!  YHL just came out with lighting, and I may have to purchase something for the kitchen!  (Sorry Matt.)

And here are the two little plants hanging above my sink.  I have a tendency to kill plants, so we'll see how long these live.  :)

And here is my little update on the island using shelf liner contact paper.  I like that you only see it when you walk by the island.  It's a nice little surprise.

I love white bowls, and I found this cutie pie to add to my collection.

And no purchases would be complete in my book without a little fabric.

I couldn't pass up these polka dots!

Majority of these fabrics were purchased at The Little General in Winston Salem.  Gina is so nice!  Thank you Colleen for introducing me to such a sweet, little shop!

Did you score anything fabulous over the holidays?  Have a great weekend, and thank you for stopping in!

peaceout
