Gorgeous!! I love the curtains and the pallet wall!! That rocker is beautiful too!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's antique!
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I wouldn't have thought black and white would be so cute for a child's room, but it was executed so perfectly! Love those curtains!
ReplyDeleteAll the different shades of grey and blue are so nice. I LOVE the artwork beside the curtain. And the dog is the perfect touch! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove everything and you even have a pointer! Gorgeous dog and room. I also love the death cab for cutie print and I can't find it online. If you ever want to get rid of it let me know :)
ReplyDeleteI bought it off Ebay, and it actually came from an art book. Hope that helps!
Deletewowsers! You are awesome! I need to hang out with you more and absorb your talents (is that possible?)
ReplyDeleteUm, can I live in Owen's room when he doesn't need it anymore? Seriously, you did an AMAZING job--I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI know, right?! I really want to kick him out. :)
DeleteI love everything. Especially the curtains, the artwork, the stuffed animals, the colors, the bunting, um, yes everything!
ReplyDeleteIm almost speechless! Love the muted yet warmth of the color scheme. I think I want to paint my den that color! Love the mirror and so developmentally wonderful in the placement! Curtains just rock! And I love how you extended the window not just with a wider curtain rod but using the pictures! And I love how uncluttered it seems yet full of personality and sentiment! Love the insertions of yellow and the graphicness of the stripes and circles and letters and the whimsy of the clouds! Ok so I was more speech filled then I thought! Just love it! :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that you got it! The frames were a by-product though, but I sure do love the placement!
DeleteI love the pallet wall - so clever. What a great space you've created!
ReplyDeletewow! what a fabulous space! i love the color scheme and all the artwork, especially what you did around the window.

ReplyDeleteMichelle @ Thrifty 101
What a beautiful room! Even though I usually don't like chevrons, they look great on your curtains! I tried to figure out by looking at the pictures if you made these things yourself or if they were from a store - couldn't manage! But once I read your "Thoughts about..." post, I'm in awe at what you did with the room - must have taken you FOREVER to finish it!
ReplyDelete- Anja @ cocalores.blogspot.com
This room looks incredible - very handsome room, love it! Now following your blog...
ReplyDeleteI am in LOVE with Owen's room! You did such an amazing job designing his space. I loved reading through how your ideas for his room evolved as you created each piece of his room. I always start off with one idea for a space and then watching the original design evolve as each piece of the room starts to come together. I featured his room over on my blog's Nursery Tuesday this week and I would love it if you stopped by sometime jroxdesigns.wordpress.com/
ReplyDeleteAmber @ jRoxDesigns

ReplyDeleteI love Owen's nursery!!! I am still doing mine and trying to be patient while my boyfriend paints it but I can't wait to accessorize and such. My color scheme is similar to yours with white walls, navy, yellow, and gray being the accent colors. You just gave me a great idea on where to put my mirror in the nursery.

From YHL; brilliant room! I'm going to "steal" some ideas: balancing the window with pictures IN THE curtains' frame, the curtains themselves, the mirror with a mantel. And maybe some more. Love the room, now I'm off to check the rest of your blog!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy. I too jumped here from YHL. I LOVE Owen's room, especially those curtains! Can you tell me the fabric manufacturer or where you got the fabric? Thx!

DeleteStunning!!! Absolutely love it! Visiting from YHL - new follower alert :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome!
DeleteWow--this is one of my favorite designs for a kids room ever! There are so many great details and yet it isn't too busy. You have a real gift for design. (Have you thought of writing to HGTV's Design Star? Seriously.) I'm bookmarking your blog now. :)
ReplyDeletehaha! nope. not to shout this out to the world, but I don't tend to give myself enough credit. I have no education in design, and I am slow with my processes. two things design star probably wouldn't want! but I LOVE to watch design star :)
Deletethank you for the sweet compliments!
It's so lovely! It's also a lot like what I'm trying to do with my 17 month-old's room, so I may have to snag a few ideas! ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the acorn garland :)
ReplyDeleteI love love love this room! Your creativity and eye of detail are amazing. I love the way you roll with making almost everything yourself. DeleteI kind of have no words. I am IN LOVE with that wood accent wall! OK, so I guess I had about nine words. I'm sooo impressed with the way you put everything together (and on such a tight budget). Found you on YHL's Reader Redesign and now I'm thinking I've got another blog to follow. Amazing, amazing work!
ReplyDeleteOne of the est nurseries I've soon so far! Great job! I love with the curtains and the wood accent wall!
ReplyDeleteOops, sorry for the typo, I meant BEST nurseries ... :-)
DeleteIt's by Random House and illustrated by Douglas Gorsline.
ReplyDeleteJust hopped over from YHL. I love this nursery room! This has to be one of my favorites I've ever seen! Love the wood planks as decor. It adds a really nice natural look to the whole room. Also the pops of yellow throughout the room is brilliant. Great nursery!
ReplyDeleteI love it! And I love the intro to your blog. I'm a fellow sewer (I too sewed and made most of the stuff in my little boy's nursery) and am excited to have a new blog to follow. xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt's fabulous Nancy!
ReplyDeleteI have been searching for nursery ideas for a few weeks and this is my absolute favorite. I didn't see anywhere in the comments where the curtains are from. I have been searching fabrics for days in hopes of finding it but have had no luck. Would you be able to me know?
ReplyDeleteThanks for blogging about the room!!
Nancy F.
Hi Nancy! I have a source list up above right before my signature. I'm glad you like the room! Thank you!
DeleteBeautiful! I love every detail!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comment on my blog (decorsanity) about the chandelier...it means a lot since you have fantastic skills and taste, and appreciate fabric and sewing like me! Good luck in the contest, the nursery is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove all the details. Visiting from DearCreatives.com
ReplyDeleteJust gasped when I saw that little bronze whale! I found one at a parking lot antiques sale one day that is almost exactly the same, and he is my FAVORITE! Made me happy to see somewhere in the world he has a little whale buddy.
