My objection to Bernina is that their feet are so different from everyone else's, and so expensive. Choosing a new machine is such a time-consuming process. Thanks for the heads-up on your experience.Nanettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16258517192356550604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7372342528798706517.post-89927905942622941832014-06-06T12:53:25.552-04:002014-06-06T12:53:25.552-04:00Hi Nanette. I will tell you that my Bernina sews really well ... when working properly.y machine has been in the shop numerous times, and I have a current problem that my dealer can't seem to resolve. In retrospect, I think I would have been just as happy with a less pricey machine. Honestly, as a new quilter, I'm beginning to think that Bernina was really great in the old days but is starting to slack nowadays. I feel that it's the name is the only reason people are buying. They do not have a contact number, which makes it difficult when problems arise. I made some friends after purchasing my machine who are not pleased with their new Berninas. I'm not trying to bash Bernina because it sews really well when working. but I am not satisfied 100% with a $4000 machine that gives me headaches. My 15-year-old pfaff will cost $500 to fix and they aren't making some replacement parts for it so I'll probably replace it. Thanks for sharing. You are going to have so much fun with it and no more picking out seems!

I can't help you with the bowl. I agree with the Colleen. If it cost $40 it better be perfect and require no modification and put your rugs in the kitchen!!Saltwater Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07271717319115897036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7372342528798706517.post-5754246466677381852012-08-24T09:33:53.598-04:002012-08-24T09:33:53.598-04:00dip dye it and keep it!!dip dye it and keep it!!Caseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01591682404983934695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7372342528798706517.post-22490562907804531812012-08-24T08:37:40.056-04:002012-08-24T08:37:40.056-04:00I don't like the bowl. And if something that cost $40 would require so much modification I say return it. Im sure there will be some on clearance . Very soon. And just keep the rugs, use them in the kitchen, you know you want to! The great thing about rugs is you can get them out, and put them away. Winters coming you will need them. LOL. Sorry Im rambling, Im overtired from Open House. and my feet hurt. ok good night.Lucky Duck Dreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01968961207550409189noreply@blogger.com
